• The nature of existing collection schemes
• A paper sorting options assessment
• The technical features of automated optical sorting systems
• Applicability and Integration with existing MRF's
• Comparative Assessment between TiTech and MSS
• A cost benefit case study for segregated collections
• A cost benefit case study for commingled dry recyclables
• Existing facilities utilising the technology

The report focuses exclusively on the municipal waste stream within the context of Scotland and its National Waste Strategy; however, it is considered that the conclusions reached shall be transferable to other areas of the UK.
